In this class series we will explore some of the traditional teachings around how to work mindfully with emotion, as well as modern approaches drawing on the latest research from positive psychology and neuroscience.
We will learn how to skillfully work with difficult emotions and cultivate greater well-being through mindfulness meditation practice, applied mindfulness techniques and exercises designed to deepen emotional intelligence and balance and increase ease, contentment and joy in daily life.
This class is appropriate for people with some prior meditation experience such as Basics of Mindfulness or MBSR, as well as those newer to meditation.
There are 4 weekly classes.
This class is a Dana based class. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Dana means giving. The suggested donation for this class series, which includes 4 classes, is $120 dollars.
$30 per person of an average size class at InsightLA covers the cost of paying teachers, administrators, rent and outreach, as well as covering the participation of students who will pay less.
