There are really only six objects of meditation: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching, and thinking.
Just a moment ago, you might not have been aware that you were seeing, but now you are. Are you aware of your posture? Can you feel your feet? Being aware like this requires little or no effort, and the more you are able to remind yourself to be aware like this throughout the day, the more energy you will have!
In this series, we will become familiar with the six objects of meditation and begin to cultivate wise awareness (or awiseness) in our meditation practice and in daily life.
Testimonials:
“Lien Chi “LC” Tran is one of the most experienced practitioners amongst the new generation of teachers.”
-Jack Kornfield
“Practicing with LC is like receiving a gift of skillful practices and embodied teachings alive with love and generosity. She naturally inspires and nourishs our heartful sangha. But don’t take my word for it. Please come see for yourself.”
“LC truly embodies the teachings and is an inspiration to study with. LC is so charming and sweet. Her smile is priceless. I loved how she shared so much of her personal life and emphasized the simplicity of and importance of practice. Together they have helped me tap into the essence of who I really am and have inspired me more than I ever expected to deepen my own practice as I prepare to share the practice of mindfulness with others. I highly recommend her to any and everyone!”
“I signed up for this event without any experience with Melissa or LC. They made a lovely teaching team, and I will intentionally look to incorporate workshops, daylongs, and future retreats led by them.”
