This is an introduction to creating and incorporating an effective and ongoing insight meditation practice in all aspects of your life. This 4-week class is appropriate for people new to meditation as well as experienced meditators who want to refresh the fundamentals of their practice.
This class is especially helpful for people who have had difficulty meditating or feel as if they aren’t ‘doing it right’. Good news! We are here to help by offering simple, practical tools for meditating that you can do on your own.
In this class you will learn to reduce your stress and gain more peace of mind by:
1. Developing a healthier relationship with your thoughts.
2. Developing more balance with your emotions.
3. Being more in touch with your body and mind.
This class will be a supportive environment to explore the practice of meditation. The teacher will tailor the instructions to meet your specific needs. In a step-by-step process you will learn the nuts and bolts of insight meditation and basic mindfulness practice.
There are four weekly classes that meet Tuesday evenings from 7:30pm – 9:00pm.
This class is available both in person and online. Before the class starts you will receive an email with the link so you may join the class online. You are welcome to attend any combination of in person and online for the four sessions.
