Join our InsightLA staff, teachers, and community members for a morning of volunteer service, restoring the land at our Benedict Canyon retreat grounds!
After a grounding meditation led by ILA senior teacher Maureen Shannon-Chapple, we’ll practice mindful connection to the Earth by clearing invasive vegetation to make space for native plant growth and greater community accessibility. Outdoor lunch will be provided afterwards!
Schedule:
10 – 10:30 am: Opening + meditation
10:30 – 12 pm: Restoration work
12 pm: Lunch
Please bring water, sunscreen, and gardening gloves if you have them. Note that ticks may be present, so please wear light-colored clothing, long-sleeve shirts, a hat, close-toed shoes or boots, and pants you can tuck into your socks.
Please RSVP for this free event to sign the volunteer waiver and let us know of your dietary needs. We are looking forward to serving with you!
