Find peace in the presence of chronic pain. Slow down, quiet the nervous system and embrace even that which can be so unpleasant, all while being held by a supportive community.

Sitting with Chronic Pain and Illness

Community has a way of opening the heart and softening the body and the mind. There is something special that happens when taking refuge in the sangha with others who are also discovering a way to find relief from chronic pain and illness.

Pain can be a support to deepen our mindfulness meditation practice, inviting us to live more in the present moment. Explore this possibility with sitting and walking meditation, and time spent contemplating the teachings that come with chronic pain.

Who is this practice group for?

The chronic pain and illness practice group is for anyone who is ready to expand the mind with mindfulness principles such as acceptance, surrender and compassion while in the company of others who are seeking the same thing.

Previous meditation experience may be helpful but is not necessary.

This group meets every Sunday from 3:30-5pm. Check out our Wednesday Group here
