Refund and Event Policies

Start things off joyfully in 2021! In this 6-week “new year” class, we’ll be discovering all the wholesome, natural and tangible joys, always available in the present moment, even in challenging times. It is often said that Buddhist practitioners are “joy seekers”, learning that these joys are always here for our enjoyment, just waiting to be discovered in the here and now. Because these “everyday” joys can only be known and enjoyed only in the present moment, we’ll spend time cultivating embodied presence, literally coming to our senses as a path for joy. Also, because discovering joy depends on the quality of mind and heart, we’ll be cultivating mindfulness as the foundation for true joy.

Every week, we’ll dive together into qualities and practices that allow for joy as a natural way of life, such as gratitude, connection, self-compassion, kindness, generosity, as well as mining the “silver linings” often hiding in plain sight when times are hard. Each class will involve guided meditation, instruction, sharing and inclusive community-building.
