A hybrid (online/in-person) practice group for all those who identify as transgender, non-binary, gender fluid, gender queer, etc. to explore our gender while we practice meditation and build community together.
Who is this practice group for?
All people under the trans umbrella are welcome, no matter where you exist along the gender spectrum or binary, as well as those who are questioning their gender identity.
This is an opportunity to be mindful of our inner sense of who we are, how we understand our gender, and how we wish to be seen. We will explore ways to offer tenderness and compassion to ourselves, both to address the difficulty of living in a cis-normative world and for the ways we may have internalized transphobia.
How is this practice group held?
The group’s aim is to transition to a collectively-held format, which will include a lightly guided meditation, an opportunity for members to share meaningful practices, and both larger and smaller group discussions about the challenges and the celebrations of your gender journey and meditation practices.
Where is this practice group located?
The Mindful Transitions practice group meets both online and in person. In-person meet-ups take place on the first Sunday of every month.
