Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

Begin Your Year With A Mindful Self Compassion Retreat

Our retreat will be a place to restore calm and peace so that each of us can fully offer our compassion to the world. This retreat will be good for those of us who love the practice of Mindful Self Compassion and for those who want to learn more about MSC, for those of us who teach MSC or aspire to teach. An MSC retreat offers a wonderful opportunity for our practice to deepen.

Retreat allows us to relax back and heal from the stresses of our everyday life, to soften and come back into balance. When we give ourselves radical permission to let go of the distractions of our stressful lives, we begin to synchronize with the steady, predictable rhythms of the retreat, and of nature. We begin to trust the dependability of a compassionate response.  Walking under the stars, taking a moment to listen to the distant calls of birds, we include ourselves in the natural world, and open to the mystery of our true nature – to be aware, to care, and to love

We will practice in a relaxed and friendly noble silence. Our retreat will familiarize you with essential mindful self-compassion teachings through instructional talks, guided meditations, question and reflections with teachers, time for walks and simple movement practice. Healthy vegetarian meals will be provided in the peaceful setting of Mary and Joseph’s Retreat Center.

When we practice noble silence, sharing our solitude with other practitioners, we create a community. As we sit together bonds of friendship form. It is a great privilege to be in a community that shares a commitment to cultivating mindfulness, compassion and non-harming. Our common humanity and shared practice provide an underlying structure of giving and receiving. There is joy in our quiet connection.

Please join us for this adventure in transformation.
