“When we understand the truth of uncertainty and relax, we become free.” The Wise Heart, Jack Kornfield
In mindfulness we are invited to wisely practice staying present, embracing uncertainty, finding joy in the moment, not judging, and being generous. These are the exact same “rules” of improv. Only this workshop, has nothing to do with being funny or performance. It has everything to do with staying present, finding joy in the moment etc.
Over the last few months we had to dig deep as we found the desire to practice our mindfulness and acceptance of all that’s uncertain. We had glimpses of freedom.
In the application of improvisation, we can’t hide from uncertainty while unfettered thinking rules – we actually have fun just hanging in the moment, connecting with others and becoming free. And, when you leave lighter, happier, feeling more creative, with a lot less stress around the uncertainty, you’ll find yourself more willing to apply these mutual principles in more and more of your life. And, at the very least, we need a break! Please join us.
Important: Because this class is highly interactive, please join via computer, laptop, or tablet. No phone video or audio only, please. Also, if able, please arrive 5 minutes early for “room” set-up.
