Research increasingly points to Mindfulness’s contribution toward increased emotional intelligence. The overall principle is that if we could see below the line of what we are normally conscious of, then we can discern what is present and subtly influencing our perception and behavior. In this 6-week course, we will develop Mindfulness-based tools to increase our awareness of emotions and habitual reactive responses to increase our ability to choose a wise response. We will cultivate Wisdom, Discernment, Kindness, Compassion, Appreciation, and Equanimity where there was once anger, fear, sadness, hopelessness, and shame.
