Ali has had an interest in contemplation since childhood which has led him to study various philosophical and human behavior deciplines and pursue various contemplative paths. He has been practicing Meditation since Mid 90’s and completed the first facilitator training program of InsightLA under the direction of the founder Trudy Goodman.
He has lead the People of Color Sangha, LMU and South Bay sitting groups of InsightLA, as well as leading several day long programs in various settings including Education. He has completed many personal long-term meditation retreats with different teachers.
Currently his interest lies in the intersection of all contemplative paths and its effects in our personal as well as cultural well being. Professionally, Ali was an Industrial Engineer whose deep interest in human behavior and philosophy led him to earn his second Masters degree in 1998 and conduct workshops using Mindfulness techniques and its impelementaion in everyday living in all settings including schools for both youth and adults.
