Onyx Starrett

Onyx (they/ellx) is a queer nonbinary graduate of InsightLA’s Facilitator Training program. They have been practicing formal meditation since 2016. Their intention is to facilitate sangha (community) and to center the voices and experiences of folx from marginalized communities. Their primary meditation practice includes chanting and the heart practices.

Onyx brings their meditation practice to their work as a criminal-immigration specialist at the public defender’s office, treating all people as having bodhicitta and the capacity to awaken.
