Teresa Conrow has practiced insight (Vipassana) meditation for over 14 years. She is a graduate of the 2-year Spirit Rock Dedicated Practitioners Program and the yearlong InsightLA Facilitator Training program.
Teresa has worked with unions throughout the world on global and local strategic organizing campaigns for over 40 years. She is the author of numerous labor books, articles, and curricula, and is on the advisory board of the UCLA Labor Center.
Teresa is grateful in particular to her teachers Larry Yang and Arinna Wiseman for helping to integrate social justice and spiritual practices. Over the years, Teresa has helped to build meditation workshops and discussions around mindful anti-racism practices for white people. She is particularly interested in how the Dharma teachings on suffering, impermanence, and emptiness of self inform and deepen our understandings of community and connection with each other and the world we live in.
She was raised in British Columbia, and lives with her partner in Los Angeles.
