Safety

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Cancellation & Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a class or event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If InsightLA cancels an event you’ve registered for, you will be offered a full refund. If an event has to be postponed for any reason, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer your registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Striking Mindfully

Striking daily over long periods of time can lead to anxiety, stress, desperation, hopelessness, helplessness, burnout, fear about lack of resources, anticipatory grief, and exhaustion. Strong mindfulness and wellness skills, however, can help sustain us and keep us feeling connected during difficult times.

“The opposite of deep suffering is not merely the absence of suffering. The opposite of deep suffering is connection.”

By developing a wise and compassionate heart we can nourish ourselves as we work towards a just and equitable world.

Who is this single-day retreat for?

This 2-hour retreat is open to anyone interested in incorporating mindfulness practices into their lives as a source of personal support amid the current strike.

We welcome writers, directors, or actors and other creatives, or anyone seeking a means of supporting friends and loved ones.

Expect mindfulness meditation, movement, sociometry activities, group sharing, and community building.

Where is this day-long retreat located?

Striking Mindfully takes place in person at InnerWay LA in Culver City. Yoga mats, blankets, chairs and meditation cushions are available.
