Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

We are deeply grateful to our community members for their understanding, patience, and support through this challenging and life changing chapter of our journey together. We are eager to move into the next phase of our adventure. In keeping with the principals of the dharma that underlies all of our activities, primarily ahimsa  (do no harm), we are requiring that all attendees be fully vaccinated in order to attend any in-person event. If you certify that you meet this requirement please select ‘yes’ on the registration page. This requirement is for the initial stage of reopening and we are looking forward to practicing together once again in-person! We will be utilizing both the indoor (masks required) and shaded outdoor (masks optional) spaces.

Caregivers want to offer compassionate care, but sometimes we do not know how. We seek a solid place to stand so that we feel grounded and able to extend our hearts to others. However, what if there isn’t such a solid place? How do we keep from burning out in an ever-changing, ever-suffering, unpredictable world? In this course, created by Board Certified Chaplain Jonathan Prescott, we will explore in depth the first four of Jon’s 8 Foundations of Balanced Caregiving offering us ways to sustain ourselves as caregivers within the paradoxes of our chaotic, beautiful world.

The course is offered through the lens of wise compassion and focuses on the following learning goals:

  • Practicing boundaries that open our hearts to ourselves and others and transform habits that lead us to feel swept away and burned out;
  • Knowing that we are enough to meet whatever comes;
  • Finding ways to receive while giving;
  • Discerning when to hold firm and when to let go, knowing that we can remain flexible in dangerous winds only when we’re securely rooted;
  • This highly experiential course includes discussions, exercises, and breakout groups.

This course is for:
Caregivers in any capacity: parents, counselors, teachers, clinicians, children of aging parents, chaplains. This class also supports those who do advocacy work for the environment, animals, and more. This course pre-supposes an understanding and personal practice of self-compassion, though we will continue to explore and cultivate our own inner compassion throughout the course.

Schedule:
Saturday 10-4pm
Sunday 10-4pm
