___________
Metta (Pali for lovingkindness) is a human mindstate that is in all of us. It is a trainable orientation of the heart: friendliness, goodwill, and benevolence toward ourselves and all beings.
On this daylong, Beth Sternlieb will guide us in the classical practices that soften the contracted heart and make kindness more available in ordinary life. We will begin where metta is often hardest — with ourselves — and then gradually extend care outward. It is an invitation to plant an intention and let it work, even when the heart is tired, guarded, or unsure.

- Guided sitting practice in the traditional phrases and images of lovingkindness
