Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Embracing Change and Transition for 65 and Older

This workshop offers a warm and thoughtful space for exploring the rich terrain of elderhood. Together, we will create a safe and intelligent environment and an intentional container for reflection, connection, and discovery. Our time together will be pragmatic: you will have the opportunity to apply each module to your specific concerns.

In this unique experience, we will explore the challenges and opportunities inherent in elderhood. For many people, becoming an elder may be accompanied by anxiety and uncertainty as our very mortality becomes a near reality. The passage of time takes on new meaning. This chapter of our lives may also be exciting, empowering and joyful.

Drawing on the Change and Transition Process and timeless sources of wisdom, including mindfulness practices, the Seven Factors of Awakening, and guided meditations, we will explore how to live with more grace and vitality amidst the reality of impermanence. This workshop is an invitation into deep personal inquiry. It is an opportunity to reclaim elderhood as a time of more wisdom, meaning, and contentment.

Topics We Will Explore Together:

  • The power of tribal community and shared presence
  • The transformational potential of group investigation
  • How to make peace with the realities of aging, limitation, and loss of independence
  • Exploring the Developmental Stages of Elderhood
  • Turning toward death with awareness and empowerment
  • Cultivating well-being independent of outer conditions
  • Developing personal agency and inner authority
  • Taking stock of this life stage and identifying meaningful action steps

What You Can Expect to Take Away:

  • A renewed sense of connection—with yourself, others, and the deeper currents of life
  • Tools for cultivating resilience, presence, and emotional well-being
  • A reframed relationship to aging, limitation, and mortality
  • Insightful inquiries for continued reflection after the workshop ends
  • A clearer vision of how you want to live and give in this season of your life
  • Inspiration and practical steps to support your ongoing journey as an empowered elder
  • Claiming joy as elders

Schedule:

Friday, November 21 – 9am to 5pm PT with an hour lunch
Saturday, November 22 – 9am to 5pm PT with an hour lunch.
Sunday, November 23 – 9am to 3pm PT with an hour lunch.
