Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Wisdom is one of the crown jewels of Buddhist meditation practice. One of the main vehicles of wisdom is seeing clearly, or insight, into our lives. While meditation and mindfulness have many benefits, few are as instrumental as wisdom in creating meaningful changes in our lives, and in supporting happiness. When insight arises it helps us to see clearly what is here, and just as importantly, how we can work with what is here to create happiness in our lives.

During this daylong retreat there will be an introduction to insight practices, time for guided and silent practice, as well as walking meditation.

Notes for the day:

  • Please bring comfortable shoes for walking and layered clothing for temperature variations.
  • Please bring a lunch, snacks and a water bottle
  • We ask that phones and technology are turned off during the retreat, in order to unplug and connect.

Schedule: Sunday, April 2nd 9:00am PT – 4:00pm PT

In keeping with the principles of the dharma that underlies all of our activities, primarily non-harming, we are requiring that all attendees be fully vaccinated in order to attend any in-person event. Please read the Benedict Canyon location page for notes on parking (there is limited parking and carpooling is strongly encouraged – click Signup to the left).
Max Capacity: 35
Masks: Optional (all attendees are fully vaccinated). We will mostly be outdoors.
