Roll up your sleeves and build in-person sangha with the InsightLA staff, teachers, and community at this special outdoor holiday volunteer service event!
We’re partnering with the Bay Foundation to help restore Ballona Wetlands, the last coastal wetland of Los Angeles. After an opening meditation and guiding words by Alicia Tolbert, InsightLA’s brand new Executive Director, we’ll be practicing mindful connection to the Earth by clearing invasive vegetation and creating space for native plants to thrive here again. These efforts will help increase biodiversity, attract wildlife, and improve the health of our ecosystem for the benefit of all beings.
After the service project, we’ll grab lunch together at a nearby spot (TBD)!
Time: 9am – 12pm
Please bring water, closed toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, a face mask, and gloves if you have them.
Snacks, tools, and gloves for those who don’t have them will be provided!
Register for this free event to receive parking information and to sign the release waiver. Note: in accordance with the Bay Foundation’s needs, we are requiring proof of vaccination upon registering. Thank you for your understanding!
