The focus for this class will be how we can apply the Buddha’s teachings to live a more joyful, wakeful, and meaningful life. We’ll explore teachings like the first foundation of mindfulness and how to meet life in and through our bodies, cultivating the heart of joy and forgiveness, developing resilience amidst change and deepening our insight practice. We will also explore what it means to find true refuge in the 3 jewels: the possibility of awakening, the teachings of the Dharma, and in spiritual community. There will be time for longer meditations, instruction, Dharma talks, small group work and discussion to deepen learning together in community. Recommended for students with a committed meditation practice.
This class series meets for 6 Tuesdays from 7:15pm – 9:15pm starting on November 5th and ends on December 10th.
