“This being human is a guesthouse. Every morning a new arrival…” Rumi
But as we age, so many of the morning’s new arrivals seem to be challenging guests – whether it’s our own “crowd of sorrows”– or a friend or loved one’s suffering or loss.
Join with friends as we explore how mindfulness and self-compassion practices can help us grow in wisdom and heart as we journey through late life. We’ll offer community, warm cups of tea, guided meditation, discussion and opportunities to cultivate more joy and more peace as we grow ever more intimate with life.
Participants are welcome to stay for the 12pm Guided Meditation, which Wendy Schmelzer will also be leading and/or for the peer-led group that meets afterward.
