Learn why an open mind and an open heart are related. Understand how to cultivate both with meditation and in daily life.

Join InsightLA Teacher Eileen Ybarra for this 2-class series at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Wisdom and Compassion

Wisdom and compassion are two distinct arms of Buddhist practice, often described as two wings of a bird. To take flight, we need to develop both equally. Although different, wisdom and compassion complement each other, both contributing to our awakening.

This 2-class drop-in series offers an opportunity to strengthen both the wisdom and the compassion wings of meditative practice. We will explore mindfulness meditation alongside the heart-based practice of compassion. Together, they support a more nuanced understanding of mental clarity and heartfulness.

Who is this class series for?

This 2-class series on wisdom and compassion is for anyone who would like to learn more about how to work with these two wings of practice in their meditation practice and in daily life.

Everyone is welcome. This course is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators.

This wisdom and compassion 2-class series takes place in person at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Please arrive via 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. Tell the guard at the front you are there for an InsightLA event and they will show you where to park and meet the group (either meet in the Masonic Lodge or the Cathedral Mausoleum).
