Familiarizing ourselves with sensations in the body is an important aspect of meeting the world with mindfulness, compassion, and joy.
Join InsightLA Facilitator Robin Hart for a reflective and enriching class on the wisdom of the body.
Wisdom of the Body
The body has so much to teach us and mindfulness can unlock that wisdom! By bringing our awareness to the physical sensations that are happening in the body, we develop our ability to be in the present moment. We will explore expanding our capacity to be with comfort and discomfort, recognize intuition, behavior patterns, and allow for change. As we investigate and learn to be with whatever arises without judgment, we unlock our internal strength and wisdom. In this class, we will use a variety of mindful meditations that use the body as a gateway to develop our physical and emotional well-being.
Explore:
- How our body feels during seated meditations, including breath, sound, and body scan meditations
- The way movement impacts our practice, including walking meditation, gentle movement, and light stretching
- How both difficult and joyous emotions manifest in the body
