An experienced yoga teacher, certified yoga therapist, and yoga teacher trainer, Addie deHilster offers an integration of yoga, mindfulness meditation, and therapeutic movement. She first discovered yoga 20 years ago while in college studying Flute Performance and Ethnomusicology. Over the years, she has specialized in making yoga beneficial for students with a range of special conditions and injuries, and in highlighting the meditative aspects of the yogic path. A dedicated practitioner of Insight Meditation for the last decade, she served in the past as President of the Board of the nonprofit Long Beach Meditation. She is a graduate of the 2014-15 Mindfulness Yoga & Meditation Training Program at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, which is a program dedicated to weaving together the wisdom traditions of Hatha Yoga and Buddhist meditation. She enjoys regular silent retreats to deepen her practice, and is also a graduate of InsightLA’s Mindfulness Facilitator Training program. Addie is the founder of Spiral Path Yoga Center in La Crescenta (Glendale), where she teaches weekly group yoga classes, leads a meditation circle, and guides the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training & Certification program, as well as Yin Yoga teacher trainings.
