InsightLA is happy to announce that the UCLA Spanish Speaking Psychosocial Clinic in collaboration with InsightLA in Action will be offering a mindfulness workshop in Spanish. Take a much needed break from your busy day to learn stress management via mindfulness meditation.
This is open to monolingual and bilingual Spanish speakers at UCLA Health, UCLA undergraduate/graduate schools, and to the community.
Session 1– Thursday March 30: Mindfulness of the Breath and Five Senses Introducing calming the mind with the breath and our senses.
Session 2– Thursday April 6: Mindfulness of the Body and Stress Management Body Scan and STOP Acronym (Stop, Take a Breath, Observe and Proceed).
Session 3– Thursday April 13: Cultivating Kindness and Compassion Guided Body Scan Meditation and RAIN Practice (Recognize, Acknowledge, Investigate, Not-Identify).
Session 4– Thursday April 20: Managing Strong Emotions with Kindness Review of past practices and Loving kindness Meditation.
