Prerequisite: Completion of Mindful Self-Compassion 8-Week, Short Course in Mindful Self-Compassion 6-Week, Fierce Self-Compassion 2-Day, or Core Skills 2-Day or 4-Week.

The tragic unfolding of recent events is very painful, unsettling and……emotional.  It’s an essential time to (re)establish mindful self-compassion, especially when it comes to managing the challenging emotions that are arising for us all.

In this workshop, we will ground in the essential and foundational care of mindful self-compassion so that as emotions arise, “we can feel it, we can heal it.” Emotions are natural, like “weather”, and it is healthy to allow them to mindfully move organically through the system of the body, without judgement or identification.  Emotions flow.

When we repress/cut off/shut down this flow, emotions can become trapped in the body, creating imbalances in health and wellbeing.  In this workshop, we’ll learn first hand how to “get out of our own way,” letting the body lead, so that the emotional “weather” can move through the system and heal naturally.

Drawing from the MSC curriculum, this workshop will involve relevant experiential practices, education as well as group sharing and support.
