This virtual community gathering is an opportunity to honor and celebrate the spaces that have supported our practice over the last several years. InsightLA will be closing our East Hollywood center this month and the Santa Monica center in January, but will be keeping the Benedict Canyon location. When it is safe to meet in person again, we will begin the search for new spaces. While we are sad to let these spaces go, we are also enlivened by the possibilities for identifying future locations that may be more accessible and supportive to our growing community.
If you have a special connection to either or both of these centers, please come and share a story about what the space has meant for you. We will be doing a virtual closing ceremony to celebrate and offer gratitude for the many ways these spaces have supported our practice and allowed us to experience true community. We will also spend time visioning and exploring together — What is our collective vision for future centers? Where should they be located? What would they be like? Let’s vision together!
We invite you to have a candle on hand to light as part of our closing ritual.
We also will be awarding Pamela Burton and Richard Hertz, our Santa Monica landlords, with our first annual InsightLA Big Heart Award celebrating their generosity and friendship over the years.
