Safety

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Cancellation & Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a class or event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If InsightLA cancels an event you’ve registered for, you will be offered a full refund. If an event has to be postponed for any reason, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer your registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Donations are not refundable.

Due to the ongoing risks surrounding the spread of COVID-19, this retreat will be taking place ONLINE.

This is the 2nd annual Creating Joy in Community Meditation Retreat for the Transgender, Trans, Gender Nonconforming, Genderqueer, and Non-binary communities. This 4 day online meditation retreat will be a space, where the grounding of kindness and compassion will support the healing from day to day harms and legacies of injustice.

We will offer meditation, mindful movement and heart-centered practices. These practices will be offered in silence balanced with discussions and community-building group exercises that nurture radical connection, joy and resilience.

Begin Thursday, September 17th 4pm PT

End Sunday, September 20th Noon PT

(Stay tuned for a more detailed daily schedule that will be posted soon.)

This retreat is being offered on a sliding scale of suggested donations, with no one turned away for lack of funds.  Please pay as you are able and be as generous as possible in order to support others who may have fewer financial resources.

Suggested Donation $60 – $300

– Subsidized Rate:  $60 Intended for people in need of financial support, which breaks down to $20/day. For instance this rate would be for students, people with low income or receiving public benefits or others for whom the base cost is a financial hardship.

Base Rate:  $200 This is the suggested base rate which breaks down to $50/day .

– Supporter Rate: $300 This is the base rate plus an additional $100 donation to support fellow practitioners for whom the base price is not financially possible. In order for this retreat to be possible we rely on people who have the means to pay at a higher rate. If you’d like to make a donation beyond this you’ll have the option to do this on the registration page.

Payment Plan Option: For those whom the total payment in full is not possible we offer payment plans to work with your budget. For example, 6 payments of $10 for the Subsidized Rate.

Teacher Dana:  In addition to registration donations, there will be an opportunity to give dana (a donation) to the teachers at the end of the retreat.

No one turned away for lack of funds: When you click the register now button you’ll have the option to select any amount of donation you wish to pay, including any amount above or below the suggested range.
