Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

InsightLA’s Dedicated to Dharma Program is designed for dedicated dharma practitioners – those of you who have a consistent daily practice and would like to deepen your understanding of the Dharma through the study of Buddhist suttas as well as contemporary texts and writings.

The Dedicated to Dharma Program aspires to be a community based in spiritual friendship and good will. The Buddha teaches that no other external factor does so much for the development of awakening as spiritual friendship.

In an effort to cultivate a diverse class representing the richness of human experience, our intentionally diverse teaching teams actively welcomes participants of all racial and cultural identities/backgrounds, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, religious backgrounds, marital status, family structure, age, mental and physical health, political perspective and/or class status.

This year’s program will focus on The Eightfold Path, the Buddha’s explicit instructions on the path to end suffering. This essential teaching includes a three-fold training: training in ethics and the commitment to do no harm, training in wisdom and compassion, and training the heart/mind.

Each month there will be reading assignments, as well as some reflections for your daily practice. We’re asking you to commit to a daily practice of 30 minutes per day and to have sat at least one silent residential retreat.

This 8-month program consists of two daylong meetings and six four-hour meetings. Monthly readings and reflections will be assigned. Our monthly meetings will include meditation, instructions, teachings and small group reflections, as well as time for questions and discussions.

Topics include:

Wise View, Wise Intention, Wise Speech, Wise Action, Wise Livelihood, Wise Effort, Wise Mindfulness, and Wise Concentration.
