Develop more spaciousness in the body and mind, and a greater understanding of how embodied awareness practices intersect with the Buddhist path.
Join Buddhist meditation teacher Scott Tusa online for this 4-week class series on meeting the body with kindness.
Embodied Awareness
Isn’t it sometimes hard to understand what our bodies are trying to tell us? When we experience difficult emotions, it can feel like we’re lost in a labyrinth of feelings that we’d rather numb or avoid than face.
But just as a rose needs tending to bloom, our feeling body needs care and attention to thrive. Now imagine if we could reacquaint ourselves with our feeling body, not as something to battle against, but as a faithful friend who’s been trying to communicate with us all along.
This is the essence of embodied awareness practices – gentle practices for meeting our bodies where they are and for allowing a grounded wisdom to develop naturally.
Learn how to:
- Reconnect safely with your body and emotions
- Approach your feelings and past wounds with gentle kindness
- Access a more grounded and open meditative awareness practice
- Connect with a more embodied and spacious way of being in your daily life
- Integrate core Buddhist teachings into direct experience
The session will include:
- Key embodied awareness meditations for developing ease, openness, and wisdom in the body
- Dharma talks on integrating core Buddhist wisdom with embodied awareness and somatic meditation
- Plenty of time for your practice questions
