Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

In the event that these spots have been claimed and you’re interested in attending please email [email protected] to be added to the financial support waitlist.

In addition, we offer Payment Plans in a variety of amounts and durations (ie: If the class is $100 you can make 2 monthly payments of $50 or 4 monthly payments of $25). For payment plan requests, please email [email protected]

If an event has to be postponed for any reason, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer your registration to the same event at the new, future date. Refund and Event Policies

With COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to learn how to calm the mind, be present with what is, and develop a sense of compassion and connection. Learning to practice mindfulness can do just that.

Mindfulness is an intentional connection with the present moment that changes how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. A dedicated mindfulness practice cultivates compassion, inclining us to treat ourselves and one another with greater kindness. Mindfulness is similar to learning a musical skill, it brings joy and grows with daily practice. Emerging research demonstrates that mindfulness and compassion practice remodels the brain’s physical structure in ways that build resilience and support well-being.

Join Jack & Trudy, two pioneers in the field, for an introduction to the essentials of mindfulness. This 4-week class is appropriate for people new to meditation, as well as experienced meditators who want to refresh the fundamentals of their practice.

Through clear and insightful instruction and dialogue, you’ll cultivate the ability to:

  • Feel more connected in your body
  • Be present with emotion – both high & low
  • Work with anxious, stressful or persistent thoughts
  • Be friendly towards yourself
  • Stay open and steady in the face of intense experiences
  • Implement a sustained daily practice that works with your life

This class is especially helpful for people who have had difficulty meditating or feel they aren’t ‘doing it right’. We’ll keep it real – offering simple, practical guidance for meditation, as well as tools to implement in daily life. We might even have some fun.

Schedule (1-2:30pm PT):
March 6th
March 13th

She also teaches residential retreats at centers around the world including Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Insight Meditation Society, and Big Bear Retreat Center. The fourth teacher ever of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Trudy taught with its creator, Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in the early days of the MBSR clinic at University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester.

Jack Kornfield, Ph.D., is one of the key teachers to introduce Buddhist mindfulness practices to the West. He holds a PhD in clinical psychology and is the co-founder of the Insight Meditation Society and of Spirit Rock Center in Woodacre, California. He has written more than a dozen books including The Wise Heart; A Path With Heart; After the Ecstasy, the Laundry; and more.
