Mindful Eating
Dive into learning mindfulness techniques and mindful eating tools – including breath and body awareness, self-compassion, heightened awareness of taste, slowing down a bit and taking pauses when eating – that can help transform your relationship to food. Unwanted behaviors begin to shift through repeated clear awareness of their downsides, so they slowly become less rewarding. You will learn how to tune into the body’s natural signals of hunger and fullness and discern between physical hunger and emotional eating.
Additionally, you’ll learn about the science behind habit formation and how habit loops work, and how understanding this helps you rewire the brain to fade unwanted habits and build sustainable healthy ones.
Mindfulness-Based Habit Change
Based on the groundbreaking work of neuroscientist and addiction psychiatrist Dr. Judson Brewer, Mindfulness-Based Habit Change (MBHC) is an evidence-based program that blends the ancient wisdom of Buddhist psychology with the latest science on habit change. Clinical research has shown this approach to be effective for those seeking to break free from anxiety and the negative habits that can follow when we seek relief in unskillful ways.
