Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Banish writer’s block forever and let your creativity flow! Integrate the practices of mindfulness and writing in this 4-session online workshop.

Mindful Writers

Spend four weeks crafting a completed piece of flash fiction! The more interesting takeaway? Develop a deeper understanding of how we handle our inner critics, deal with feedback, and muster the courage to put our work out into the world.

  • Week 1 – Sept 27th 7pm: After a formal lecture and meditation, participants will begin work on a flash fiction piece.
  • Week 2 – Oct 4th 6pm: Discover how self-compassion practice can help us roll with the punches of a creative life. Learn to resist clinging to your successes or getting sucked down by rejections.
  • Week 3 – Oct 11th 6pm: Explore how the Buddhist concept of Right View can help us edit more effectively. This week we will also receive and discuss feedback from the group.
  • Week 4 – Oct 18th 6pm: In our final class, we will read our completed pieces aloud. Then, in celebration of our hard work, we will, as a group, submit our stories to a contest or journal, embracing the opportunity to sit with whatever thoughts or emotions come up when we send our work out into the world.

Who is this class series for?
