Sports is a $71 billion dollar industry in the US alone simply because people prefer to be distracted from their mortality. However, undertaking a practice where we confront death – yours and others’ – is actually a path to happiness.
This half-day course will instruct you in the death awareness mediation and its benefits. You will be given the tools to refocus your intention on strengthening a stagnated or burgeoning meditation practice. The death awareness meditation is a foundational practice handed down from the Buddha that you can turn to again and again as you resolve to be mindful, awake, and aware of the preciousness of your life.
