Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

Safety

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Cancellation & Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a class or special event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If InsightLA cancels an event you’ve registered for, you will be offered a full refund. If an event has to be postponed for any reason, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer your registration to the same event at the new, future date. This retreat also meets the requirements for participants in Jack Kornfield + Tara Brach’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification program through Sounds True. Please read the Criteria for MMTCP Retreat Attendance Requirements.

During this retreat, we’ll explore practices that help us to quiet the mind, open the heart and deepen our capacity to find balance and steadiness in the midst of change and uncertainty. We will cultivate the loving awareness and clear seeing that is so needed in our world today within this unique retreat container.

The daily rhythm of an online Insight meditation retreat includes guided and silent meditation practice in the communal virtual meditation hall, walking and movement meditation, rest, mindful eating instructions for meals, Dharma talks to deepen your embodied understanding and small group practice discussion meetings with the teachers to support you within the container of a silent retreat.

Practicing “alone together” while in our own spaces presents a unique and powerful new kind of retreat container to deepen our practice and the integration of mindfulness into how we’re living during these times. After teaching several online retreats, we’ve learned what works well for supporting a home retreat and have created a schedule that’s accessible to people with different circumstances. This particular format combines the dedicated practice time of a residential retreat while also supporting those with family members and/or other responsibilities.

Schedule:
Retreat Starts: Saturday, January 18, 2025, 10am PST
Retreat Ends: Wednesday, January 22, 2025, 10am PST

Dana/Generosity: There will also be an opportunity to offer Dana for the teachers and center at the end of the retreat. Thank you for your support!

Important: Upon registering, please be sure to read and bookmark the Retreat Homepage in the auto-confirmation email for important tips on setting up your space and what to expect on retreat.

Berlin to Los Angeles to InsightLA I started my professional life as a Gynecologist at the University Hospital in Berlin, Germany.
