Feeling overwhelmed, numb,… chaotic? We’re all hurting right now.
In this responsive and inclusive half-day retreat, we will gently explore and experience the immediate benefits of responsive and compassionate “trauma-sensitive” mindful self-care. Included will be a heartfelt and inclusive understanding of the different kinds of trauma affecting us all right now – how these can negatively impact the nervous system, and simple, practical, evidenced-based methods that naturally regulate, heal and process trauma in the moment, letting the body lead with care. Many practices from the Mindful Self-Compassion class will be integrated into the experience for healing and self-care, as well as relevant aspects of the Buddha’s teachings.
Most importantly, trauma sensitive self-care will be offered in a manner that is empowering, supporting a self-compassionate internal and self-directed “locus of control,” ensuring personal safety, choice, and balance. This retreat will include experiential practice, education, Q&A and group support.
