Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

Join Somatic Movement Educator David Hurwith for a morning of transformational breathing practice.

As we bring our attention to our breathing function, our perception is transformed by what we focus on. It is a powerful choice to focus on the experience of the mind witnessing the body. To listen to the body in its language of sensation, rhythm, and quality, and not translate the data into normative, default ideas of how we should be doing this, but hold a space in our thoughts for not knowing and mystery.

The time-honored practice of observing our breathing offers us a path into different parts of ourselves. The autonomic nervous system and medulla know how to take oxygen from our environment and nourish every body cell. The psyche, limbic system, and vagus nerve express their feelings in the quality of our breathing. All of the specifics of human anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology offer metaphors to guide our consciousness in developing.

It is recommended that you wear loose, comfortable clothing and have a yoga mat.  You will need enough room around to slide your arms in a circle. People of all skill levels are welcome.

This is an in-person and online event: To uphold our COVID safety protocols, capacity will be limited to 75 at InnerWay LA in Culver City. Proof of vaccination with boosters will be required along with masks.
