Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

Safety

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Cancellation & Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a class or special event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. • The end result of birth is death. We all know this, and we know it now more than ever. But how often do we deny or avoid looking deeply into the nature of our inevitable death? What would it look like if we were to embrace this precious life while acknowledging the fragility and impermanence of it all?

Investigating the process of dying can be one of the most rewarding and liberating acts of a lifetime. It is an exercise that gives us the opportunity to acknowledge The Five Remembrances; We will all grow old, we will all get sick, we will all die, we will all be separated from what we love, and our actions are our only true belongings from which we cannot escape the consequences.

Through this year long practice, we will cultivate Maranasati, death awareness. This will be a year of forgiveness, celebration, gratitude, community, and letting go and letting be with love and kindness.

During our year long exploration, participants will:

  • meet monthly via Zoom
  • be guided in practical strategies
  • experience powerful meditations to open the heart
  • engage in small group discussions
  • explore self-guided field trips
  • connect one-on-one with teachers
  • develop meaningful relationships with Dharma friends on the path

Requirements:

-All participants must attend the first meeting
-No more than 2 classes may be missed
-Required text: A Year to Live by Steven Levine
-In addition to attending class each month, participants must commit to meeting with a peer group monthly

*If you are not able to fulfill these requirements, we look forward to practicing with you another time in the future.

We welcome anyone who has the desire to begin this important journey with us regardless of meditation experience or stage of life.
