Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

In the event that these spots have been claimed and you’re interested in attending please email support@insightla.org to be added to the financial support waitlist.

In addition, we offer Payment Plans in a variety of amounts and durations (ie: If the class is $100 you can make 2 monthly payments of $50 or 4 monthly payments of $25). For payment plan requests, please email support@insightla.org

Safety

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Cancellation & Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a class or special event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If InsightLA cancels an event you’ve registered for, you will be offered a full refund. If an event has to be postponed for any reason, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer your registration to the same event at the new, future date. Refund and Event Policies

“I think of forgiveness as coming to terms with things as they are, and choosing to live with a light and generous heart.  It doesn’t mean condoning cruelty or whitewashing over any kind of abuse or mistreatment.  And it doesn’t mean reconciliation. It’s a radical reclamation of personal well-being and a refusal to contribute to the cycle of hatred and retribution.”
-Margaret Cullen

Forgiveness is both a natural capacity and a skill that can be learned and strengthened. By becoming more forgiving yourself, you are also relieving suffering for others.

In this course we’ll explore what forgiveness is, what it isn’t, and pay particular attention to what gets in the way of the natural unfolding of forgiveness.

The course includes:

  • Daily meditation practice.  It is surprising how much can happen in just one week of practicing forgiveness!!!!!
  • Two 2-hour  classes with reflections, guided group inquiry and small group exercises.
  • Lots of supplemental materials on the science of and research about forgiveness.
  • The purpose of this course is to increase the possibility of forgiveness through challenging misconceptions, removing obstacles, clarifying understanding, and learning a formal forgiveness practice. You’ll have an opportunity to connect in real time with individuals from around the world as you experiment with and practice forgiveness.
  • Didactic presentations, reflections, dyads, small and large group discussion and guided meditation (mp3 provided).
  • Relevant research on forgiveness will be shared, but the primary focus is experiential.

Schedule Saturday 9:30-11:30am PT:
December 4
December 11

Should you choose to take this class, 100% of the instructor’s fee will support Compassion Corps grants which fund certified compassion teachers to offer programs free of charge to underserved communities. Grants awarded in 2021 include: Parents living in Sao Paulo, refugees on the southern border of Mexico, clinical staff of the National Service for Infants in Chile, caregivers for the chronically ill in Spain and more!
