Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

Refund and Event Policies

InsightLA’s Dedicated to Dharma Program is designed for dedicated dharma practitioners – those of you who have a consistent daily practice and would like to deepen your understanding of the Dharma through the study of Buddhist sutras/suttas as well as contemporary texts and writings.

The Dedicated to Dharma Program aspires to be a community based in spiritual friendship and good will. The Buddha teaches that no other external factor does so much for the development of awakening as spiritual friendship. As such, our next topic for Dedicated to Dharma will be The Path of Friendship. In these times of increased physical isolation from friends and loved ones, political division and discord, and uncertainty on many levels, The Path of Friendship is more important than ever. We will spend time exploring how the quality of friendship towards self and other can be a profound vehicle of liberation.

To provide more flexibility, and in response to the pandemic, we will be offering our program on zoom, one month at a time. We will teach for one month, then take a few weeks off, followed by another month of meetings. If conditions allow for us to meet in person in a safe way, we hope this format will allow us to pivot to in person meetings.

Schedule (PT):
Sunday April 11th 10-1pm: Half-Day Retreat

We value the richness that is found in a diverse and inclusive community, and we actively welcome participants from all racial and cultural backgrounds, identities, sexual and affectual orientations, gender identity, and education or class status. We support the work of transformation and recognize and strive towards a community where everyone feels respected and valued for their uniqueness.

Throughout the program there will be recommended readings as well as reflections for your daily practice. You are asked to commit to a daily practice of 30 minutes per day.

Requirements: having attended at least one five-day residential retreat, or a sustained and committed practice for those who have not had residential retreat experience. Please email support@insightla.org to if you have questions for the teachers teachers.
