Recovery from the hell realms of addiction requires the deep engagement of body and mind. The Buddhist teaching on the Four Great Efforts guides us on how to approach this challenging work. These powerful tools teach us to relinquish harmful mental states and nurture more beneficial mental qualities and behaviors that will support our recovery.
