“The whole path of Mindfulness is just this: whatever you are doing, be aware of it.”

-Dipa Ma

Mindfulness is habituating our attention to be in the present moment, when life is happening.  This isn’t the normal tendency of the mind.  Our minds pick up a lot of thoughts of past and future unnecessarily which makes our experience stressful.  We cultivate the habit of mindfulness in meditation so that we can bring this quality into our lives.

On this retreat we learn to practice mindfulness alternating throughout the day between sitting and walking meditation.  The retreat will be held mostly in silence with an optional talking period.

This is a good introduction retreat for residential retreat practice or if you just can’t get away for a longer retreat but could use a weekend of restoration for your mind.

Please pack a lunch and wear loose comfortable clothing.
