Retreat Testimonials:
“One lovely and surprising aspect of being on retreat at home, was getting to embody my home life in a very mindful way, which revealed that I don’t always bring a lot of mindfulness to my daily routine. I was a bit alarmed to see the multiple ways I check out of my life every day, and I don’t think that would have been as obvious if I were not in my own home.
As a person with a disability that can oftentimes limit my ability to travel, seeing the world open up to online events has given me opportunities I otherwise would not have had. So when we create a life after COVID, I am encouraging organizations to remember those of us who have difficulty getting out and about under the best of circumstances.”
“I enjoyed the online retreat experience, in particular I felt the themes and schedule were really well done. It felt like a lot of thought went into the daily practices and that each day built on the last. I was skeptical that an online retreat would feel disconnected, but the teachers did a fantastic job of tying everything together. I especially appreciated that they referenced each other in their talks – to me that signified the planning, listening, and care in putting this together. I also really appreciated the amount of stationary meditation sessions, including the add-on of keeping the Zoom room open so that others could remain logged in for the optional sessions later in the evening. I loved the group meetings, the allocation of time for q&a during the morning guided meditations, and the time at the end of the retreat to post in the chat for everyone to see.”
“This retreat delivered what it advertised and much more. I highly recommend it. Despite my reservations, the zoom format and doing it from home worked really well and my cat loved it too!”
Dana/Generosity:
