A Daylong Meditation and Qi Gong Retreat

Join us in a fun and engaging exploration of the three key Buddhist temperament or personality types outlined in the seminal Buddhist text known as the Visuddhimagga (the Path of Purification):

  • Greedy/Faithful
  • Aversive/Discerning
  • Deluded/Speculative

Although most people have a mix of these qualities, many of us have a primary temperament or two, which can inform how we think and behave, as well as what hindrance we might be most affected by. Understanding one’s temperament offers nuance to the positive and negative aspects of each and how to best cultivate supportive internal and external conditions that foster well being and peace.

In our time together, we’ll spend time assessing our temperaments, engage in mindful relational practice to explore the topic, and discuss recommended practices for each temperament type. This process will be done in the container of a daylong, where half the time will be in silent meditation and qigong practice, both of which will include instructions on practicing with your temperament.

This event is open to anyone, and is ideal if you have at least some meditation practice.

Suggested donation: $85
