Financial Support

Our mission is to make all of our programs accessible. Every fee-based offering has a limited number of pay-what-you-can spots available to support self-identified people of color, members of marginalized groups (queer people, transgender people, and  people with disabilities) and those in financial need (those for whom the cost to attend is not financially possible).

These spots are offered on a first come, first served basis. Please pay at the highest level you can afford. In order for this support to be available, we rely on those who can afford to pay the full price to do so.

Find out if spots are available by clicking REGISTER NOW on the event you are interested in.

In the event that these spots have been claimed and you’re interested in attending please email support@insightla.org to be added to the financial support waitlist.

In addition, we offer Payment Plans in a variety of amounts and durations (ie: If the class is $100 you can make 2 monthly payments of $50 or 4 monthly payments of $25). For payment plan requests, please email support@insightla.org

Safety

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Cancellation & Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a class or special event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If InsightLA cancels an event you’ve registered for, you will be offered a full refund. If an event has to be postponed for any reason, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer your registration to the same event at the new, future date. If you cancel, we apply a 5% credit processing fee and the refunded amounts are listed below:

Spend a day in practice with the InsightLA Community!

Emerging from the pandemic and deciding how to re-engage with social and professional life calls for mindfulness and self-compassion as the pandemic rolls on. A trace of uncertainty still underlies most plans. Everyone’s lives, inner and outer, are always changing but covid highlights the element of intention. How do you want your life to change? What is most important to you now? How will you take the insights born of this unprecedented time and bring them forth into the world?

Tuning in to the eternal rhythm of life – the ebb and flow of breath, the gift of pulse and heartbeat –naturally helps quiet our minds and open our hearts. With mindful loving awareness, each one of us can find ways to wisely and courageously respond to the troubles of the world.

Schedule: You are welcome to join for the whole day or a portion.

10am – 12pm Mindful Self-Compassion with Alisa Dennis, Dina Aish, JD Lloyd & James Rosser
12pm – 1pm Meal Break
1pm – 3pm Teachings & Practice with Trudy Goodman, George Mumford & Jack Kornfield + special performance by Jason Mraz

Come be part of this loving annual benefit for InsightLA! Your presence will support and sustain InsightLA’s mission of calming minds, opening hearts and changing the world. Here are some of the ways you help carry this crucial mission forward by making mindfulness education more accessible:

  • Insight in Action – InsightLA’s social action arm – a community outreach program partnering with other nonprofits and schools to provide free mindfulness training to vulnerable populations, teachers, caregivers, and first responders.
  • Through providing financial support for marginalized groups and those in financial hardship.
  • Supporting a path to reopen physical centers in Los Angeles.

About InsightLA Meditation:
InsightLA is a non-profit meditation community providing high-quality mindfulness and compassion practices. For close to 20 years, InsightLA has offered classes, retreats, and special events that cater to both beginning meditators and those looking to deepen and sustain their practice. InsightLA is the only organization of it’s kind offering secular, evidenced-based mindfulness training and traditional Buddhist teachings within the Vipassana or Insight tradition.
