Beth is a Spirit Rock and Insight Mediation Society retreat teacher. She teaches the Dedicated to Dharma program at InsightLA and The Morning Community Sit. You can drop in through InsightLA.org and meet her there Monday – Friday mornings.
Beth’s Teachers are Dza Kilung Rinpoche and Joseph Goldstein.
Beth has been a co-investigator on several research intervention studies at UCLA that investigated the impact of Iyengar yoga on breast cancer survivors with persistent fatigue and young adults suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, and depression. She assisted BKS and Geeta Iyengar at the Ramamani Iyengar Institute in Pune India as a trainee in therapeutic Iyengar yoga.
Having experienced the healing benefit of Iyengar yoga and mindfulness firsthand – and eager to help others suffering from health challenges – Beth became a member of the UCLA Pediatric Pain Program clinical team and Whole Child LA where she taught mindfulness, loving-kindness, and yoga to children and young adults with chronic health problems in an integrative medical setting.
Beth is a certified Mindful Self Compassion teacher and has taught Mindful Self Compassion retreats through the Center for Mindful Self Compassion as well as weekly MSC classes at InsightLA.
