Safety

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Cancellation & Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a class or event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If InsightLA cancels an event you’ve registered for, you will be offered a full refund. If an event has to be postponed for any reason, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer your registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Donations are not refundable.

Our long-planned honoring of Trudy Goodman and InsightLA is now joined with an urgent call. Our practices, our sense of justice, compassion and caring presence are being challenged by shared suffering and the need for wise and courageous response.

For the day of her 75th birthday, June 9th, Trudy Goodman, our founding teacher  invited her old friends to celebrate with us as a benefit for InsightLA. Now, in these times, we are fortunate to have some of the world’s most admired teachers and authors, Anam Thubten, George Mumford, Sharon Salzberg, Joseph Goldstein, Jack Kornfield, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Chris Germer, Tara Brach and more, to share their wisdom with us.

Together we will honor the creation of InsightLA as a place of refuge and action. Our guest teachers will reflect, offer teachings, understanding and support as we stand together against the scourge of racism and the need for profound change.

Let’s sit together so we can stand together!

Proceeds:

The event is a donation-based fundraiser and proceeds will go towards Insight in Action and Black Lives Matter.

Insight in Action makes mindfulness meditation available to the dedicated caregivers, social justice and environmental activists, first responders, teachers, and individuals who are on the front lines of suffering in Southern California and beyond at no cost to them. This program also makes it possible for all of InsightLA programming to be accessible, with 20% of spots in all fee-based programming reserved for people of color, people from marginalized communities, and those in financial hardship to attend on a pay what you can basis. Insight in Action also sponsors affinity programming for people of color, queer people, transgender and non-binary people, Spanish-speakers, aging folks, parents, educators and those with chronic pain and illness.
