Safety

We work to protect the safety of all students. We reserve the right to remove any student from any class, sitting group, retreat, or any event if the student is disruptive to the safe learning environment we maintain for all.

Cancellation & Refunds

We reserve the right to cancel a class or event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If InsightLA cancels an event you’ve registered for, you will be offered a full refund. If an event has to be postponed for any reason, you will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer your registration to the same event at the new, future date.

Donations are not refundable.

Refund and Event Policies

Come to Benedict Canyon for a day to find your way to look at climate change with the support of a community of mindfulness practitioners and self-compassion tools (that we will learn together).

  • We recognize our gratitude and wake gently to our grief amid catastrophic change.
  • We rely on our shared mind of practice and our (mostly silent) mutual support to walk step-by-step on the journey we are taking whether we choose it or not.
  • We reconnect to our tender hearts as we can only do in spiritual community that agrees to uphold respect for each other.
  • We consider what each of us needs as next steps.

We will spend time in the rare, exquisite beauty of the canyon.
We will honor where each of us is, held by the presence of the group.
We will play a little.
We will learn from the suggestions of wise fellow practitioners who have walked this path and offer guidance, like Joanna Macy, Kaira Jewel Lingo and David Loy.

Please bring a bag lunch. There is a refrigerator available.

9:30 to 4:30 Saturday, May 3rd 2020.
