Refund and Event Policies

This event is the online version of a hybrid class series which will take place both in-person and online. To register for the in-person version of this event, click here

In the Living Dharma class series, we study the traditional Buddhist teachings from the Insight meditation tradition and learn how to apply them to daily life for greater ease, clarity, and well being.

In this class series we’ll be working with “the 3 characteristics” or “the 3 marks of existence” as they’re known in Buddhism: impermanence or Anicca, “not self” or Anatta and suffering or Dukkha. Said another way: Nothing is permanent, personal, or perfect. While something in us can understand this to be true, the mind and heart have a way of moving away from seeing things as they actually are. Together we will explore ways to experience and know these truths more directly, as opening to these three insights into reality can have profound implications- shifting our view both in meditation and in daily life.

There will be time for longer meditations, instruction, Dharma talks, small group work, reflections and discussion to deepen learning together in community.

Participants will be strongly encouraged to meditate for at least 30 minutes daily to support the deepening of their understanding. This class is appropriate for those with experience practicing Insight Meditation, working with the Buddha’s teachings, and / or practicing on silent retreat.

Please note, this is a 4 week class series, not a drop-in group. Please sign up with the intention of attending all of the class sessions as each class builds on the last.

If you know you will miss more than one class, please choose a drop in group instead to leave this class series space open for other students who can commit to the full session as in person space will be limited.
