Welcome to our community! No matter where you are and who you are, we’re here to help you develop the life-changing practice of mindfulness meditation. In this class you’ll:
- learn what mindfulness is and what it isn’t
- practice a short meditation, and
- have an opportunity to share your intentions and ask questions – you are always welcome to pass if you prefer to simply observe.
We invite you to get to know fellow newcomers in the class who are also curious and looking to discover mindfulness (oftentimes through a recommendation or a widely accepted article or evidence-based finding). You’ll also receive guidance on what classes to take next based on your interests.
Our facilitators receive some of the highest levels of mindfulness meditation trainings, have practiced on multiple silent meditation retreats (each retreat entails 8 hours of meditation a day for 7+ days with little to no talking), have experienced a variety of benefits (just ask – we love talking about how our practice continues to serve us!), and started exactly where you are right now.
It’s helpful to read the our Code of Ethics before attending a class.
This class is available every first Monday from 12-12:30pm PST. We will stay after class to answer any questions.
We’re currently offering this class for free to COVID-19 healthcare/service workers. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
